One year ago we got rearend in her 02 Explorer. The guy hit us at 45 mph, didn't see us stopped at the light and never hit his brakes. He shoved us into the car in front of us and bent the frame and did $8,000 worth of damage. Then last Tues. she got rearended again, by a young girl in an 05 6 banger Mustang and it did $2,000 worth of damage. Well, it must have a target on the back of it so its going bye bye as soon as its fixed. The wife and i have looked at new mustangs but never drove one and i have to say i was impressed with the new platform. The overall car compared to my 03 Mach is a big improvement. The car we drove was an auto since the wife can't drive a stick and doesn't want to learn. My Mach is a 5-spd so i don't have to worry about her wanting to drive it.
I liked the car we drove, Vista Blue with graphite int. and the polished 18 in. bullit wheels. She likes the Windveil Blue and since its going to be her everyday driver a lighter color will be more practical. The down side to this since i'm going to be retiring in 5 yrs. is that something has to go, my restored 79 Bronco with a 6" lift, my Mach, or my Harley. Two out of the three have to go. A 2000 F-150 4wd is my everyday driver. Its a tough call for me, but i'll probably keep the Mach. I'm sure when we get the new stang it will help ease the pain.
