Hey guys my name is Sean and I am from Vegas. Here is what I have

2002 Mustang GT 5 speed manual
Razzi Body Kit
Nitto 555R 275-40-17 Back
Eibach Pro Kit Springs
K&N FIPK 2
SCT XCalibrator 2 SF Tunner
Steeda Tri-X
Steeda Underdrive Pulley
C&L's new 4.6L V8 intake plenum with BBK 75mm TB
FRPP 3.73 Gears
Jeg's Off Road H- Pipe
Flowmaster 2 chamber

I just got my frpp 3.73 gear install by sliver state motorsport about 2 weeks ago. I am not sure that they put in my new gear cause @ 70mph I am at 2100-2200 rpm. Is that what 3.73 gear rpm at 70 mph ? I paid 425 for install and wanted to find out if they really put the gears cause on stangsource on guy is telling me that his stock gears @ 70mph puts him 2100-2200 RPM. Every thing else I did the install even I don't know much about cars. I did all my install by the help with google, stangsource and mustangworld :)

Thanks

Thank you svttech on clearning that up cause I was very upset thinking they din't install my 3.73 gear. I can breath easy now.

Even with my setup I cannot hit 13.5-13.7. Best so far is 14.1 , WTF i'm I doing wrong?

Thank

Thanks All for your kind words and welcome. my last run

rt .493
60' 2.237
330 6.067
1/8 9.261
mph 86.02
1000 11.970
1/4 14.251
mph 99.14

This is the number I got at track the same day I got my gear install so I din't have any time to practic. I launch at 3000rpm and I dump the clutch. I am shifting at 6000rpm. With my nitto 555R and good burnout I used to
do 2.0 60' . Maby I am launching to high rpm.

Thanks

I'd say it's a combination of experience and track prep. Before I got my gears I was running a 13.9x with 1.9' 60. With those tires you should be focusing on pulling off atleast a 1.8 60'. 3,000rpm definately isn't too high, I normally launch at 3.5k-4k, but dumping the clutch is a bad idea with Nitto's. Try feathering it a little more and see what works the best. Make sure you're heating them up before your run also, it definately helps. Everytime you go to the track you should be improving your time, it just takes practice.

There's no reason you can't be running mid 13's after a few more visits :flag:
