Well today we went to union grove and the track sucked. Their was a guy with a newer GT with huge slicks out back and was hardly hooking at all. I thought I would do better because the car felt fast anyway. Going into 2nd gear really sucks, I have to stab the clutch, waite, then granny shift into gear.....and it still grinds pretty badly..Not to metion that ,but I could not hook for anything like everyone else. My first pass was like a 15.8 with a 2.9 60'.......Frist and second gear were REALLY bad. My friend had it worse with 4.10's and had some 3.xx 60's. It was really bad and the weather sucked.
It was just about the worst conditions you could have....After a few 15 sec passes, I decided to just roll out and go from idle. I rolled out and eased into it resulting in bad wheelhop and a 2.2 60' which was my best of the day. There was no chance of hooking, I even tried to ease out and slowly go wot. That was the only way I could get the car moving decently.
My best pass was a 14.8 @ 95 mph with a 2.3 60'.....
The car was going through the traps at just under 5K in 4th gear right where the yellow line starts on the tach...We had fun but it was extremely frustration because of bad traction....my buddy almost put his car into the wall going into 3rd with his 4.10's, he could not even go wot in 2nd with out ripping them up....thats with new 275's....
I might go back on thursday to see if I can get it to hook a little better and my friend is bringing fresh dr's for his car.....I really don't want to go again untill I put my parts on the car and the conditions get a LOT better.
I will be adding a o/r h, shorty headers, deleting the a/c, deleting the smog, getting a freshly rebuilt w/c t-5, a king cobra clutch, and a pro 5.0 sts.....Maybe with that stuff and some slicks I will see 13's.....

Oh and their was a 03/04 cobra with pullies, exhaust, and a tune running a best of 13.1 @108.....that car should be trapping 115 mph. My friend talked to him and he said that it was a 12 sec. car which it should be just not today lol....Everyone was running really slow. This bolt on mach 1 with dr's went a best of 13.3 @ 104.....It was a bad day...
