First Time Running in the 1/4. Timeslips posted.

Finally, I got to run my car in the 1/4. The live axle really helped out. My goal was to break into the 11's. My first run was 11.88. second run was 12.00. I let it cool down and finally ran a 11.652 @ 116.35 .

May I ask what tires you are running, cause that 60 is impressive!!

Thanks, I was running ET Streets. I think I can get my 60' around 1.5-1.6 when I get my axles, I left at 3,000.

Did you just drop the clutch on the 3K launch? Asking cause I will be going soon and this will the first time at the track with ET Streets and a solid axle.

What gears do you have? How well does the car hook on the street?

Nice times, any ideas why your trap speed is so low though? For those mods and your car, I would suspect higher traps. In the 120 range or so.

I eased out on the first run and it did fine, so then let it hav it after that.

3.73 gears.
On the street with ET Streets it hooks up pretty good, with radials it just spins.

On one run my MPH was 118. my trap speed in the 1/8 was 95 which is pretty high. I think my 1/4 trap speed is slow because I am shifting into 4th right before I cross the line. Thats the only thing I can think it would be.

I live in Granite Falls. I can't believe I haven't run into you around Hickory. Do you know a guy there named Richard L. from Hickory? He has a red 99 with a Vortech and an 01 with a PC. He's ran a few times with my buddy and I. We are about to start running again. Maybe you'd like to hook up with us oneday. Where did you run, Rockingham?

I met Rich at www.modularmadness.com in Mooresville when I was geting my car Dyno tuned. I ran Rockingham, but normally run Mooresville. Where do you guys run.

Nice times...
The mph will go down when using bias ply ET streets. I have seen it go down 2 mph.
