Hi everyone. I’m relatively new to the S197 scene and the 3V scene too. I just bought a 2005 GT 5 MT with 137k on the clock. The body looks great. The engine has a misfire around 4K and I’ve read up it’s probably the spark plugs. Other than that the car is great. I just wanted to say hi and that I look forward to learning everything I can from you guys here.

I added a couple of pics too.

Thanks,

Jim.

Welcome!

Read up on the plug change if you haven't already, it's quite a job. There's a good chance it still has the original plugs since the factory ones are rated for 100K miles.

Prob still has factory plugs for sure. Supposed to Chang them like every 96000km. Would suggest having a mechanic take care of this. Pros of plugs long life. Cons they seize up in there pretty badly and break easily to if you don’t be careful and take it slow. Will have to have the broken plugs extracted if this happens. Maybe look into swapping out your coils to while your at it. Good luck!
