My engine was rebuilt with a bigger carb and high-rise intake. I have a hood scoop that alots a little extra room, but the mechanic at the time seemed to think a 9" air cleaner was all that would fit under the hood.
How do you decide what will fit accounting for engine torque? I've heard some say you can use forming clay to help.
If I am able to fit a larger air cleaner, do I need to adjust my carburetor accordingly?
