On my 02 GT. At www.americanracing.com the 17X9.5 and 17X11 are for the "94-on Mustang". Their "what fits - application guide" is useless - it doesn't even list ANY TT2s for the GT. Anyone running these rims (or any 11's in the back or 9.5's up front) and do you have any clearance problems?
The 17X9.5 has 28mm offset and 6 3/8" backspacing. (505-79567)
The 17X11 has 27mm offset and 7" backspacing. (505-71167)
I could just do 17X9.5 in the back and 17X8 up front, or 17X9.5 all around...decisions, decisions. Part of my decision will be based upon availability - other sizes can be custom ordered, but I'm already waiting until Feb, and cannot wait much longer...the OEM Goodyears are nearly gone now at 30K. The new tires will likely be the Goodyear Eagle F1s.
I also plan to add springs for a small drop - like B or C springs, maybe the bullit package...but not a major drop at all.
Any opinions and comments are welcome.
Thanks and happy holidays to all!

17 x 8 on front with 245/45/17s
17 x 9.5 on rear with 275/40/17s

She's lowered and gets a slight rub under full crank right when pulling into a parking spot quickly. The rub in the top right of the left front on the top/bottom of the plastic fenderwell. No biggie whatsoever.

Not sure if I can find the part #'s, but if needed..I'll try to dig them up.

IMO..275s up front on a 9.5" wheel while lowered will rub...but only under full crank...but I don't like the idea of running meats out front when Ford designed the car to work with the 245s.

17 x 11 will easily fit out back.

Just my 2 cents. :nice:

Hey 2000BLKGT, Could you help me with a question? I'm considering Centerline Auto Drag III's (17x8 up front and 17x9.5) out back for my '99 GT. What backspacing would you recommend? What about offset? Should I go with 17x.9.5's up front also? How wide of a tire could go up front? Any help would be much appreciated!
