plans have changed, i ordered the 10th anniv. cobra front and rear calipers from buy ford racing, and i ordered the nrc kit with the parking brake cables, so now i should just need rotors, the master cyl, booster, and the prop. valve and delete and adparter stuff from mm. will post pics when i get them.

thanks man. since you bumped it for me ill update some, my friend with experience with audio and alarm installs and i just finished fixing up the door locks and passenger window. sometimes the passenger window would roll down and not back up, so we ended up running a new wire for that, and we had to replace some wires for the lock unlock and get new switches, so now all the switches work, and my alarm is in. drove it last night and its nice knowing if someone touches it it will alert me (2 way system)

my birthday is oct.16, and i asked for mm gift certificates and money so im probably gonna wrap up my brakes. all i need is rotors, a booster, master cyl, stainless lines and the adapter, eliminator and prop. valve. then on to finishing the road and track box while i fix up the front end some, and re attach the rear bumper.

gotta decide too if i wanna get a new catted h or just weld the mount still on mine.

well i think im once again going to turn my build in another direction. ive driven it for the past 2 days and its still making some odd noises. im pretty sure the full lock almost knock is the wheel weights, i might get 2 new tires and have them re balanced without the weights on the inside. but then it seems like after i get close to full lock it does some knocking even when my wheels are pretty straight. and its still rubbing from where i rearended someone so im probably gonna pull all that apart soon and try to straighten that out. my driver side of my engine bay is kinda warped where the crumple zone is so i might get it on a frame machiene.

i guess i just feel like fixing some stuff up before i start finishing my brakes. i have to get a better shape power steering pump too.

i spent 30 bucks at my shop and we got the wheel weights off the front wheels on the inside, and that was the knock for sure. my h-pipe hanger was actually missing on one side, and the other side is the one that was rattling. we pushed the rubber piece back in and welded another part of a hanger on the end of it so it cant slide out but so far, and then welded up the hanger end on the h pipe. so when i get an h pipe, i can just cut the hanger off, and do it that way. the wheel weights was the knocking.

now my other knock im thinking is either the steering shaft or the rack. when you sit the car still and take the wheel from 1 to 11 o clock (the short way) it knocks, and the ragjoint seems to be in great shape but i think the other end, the actual joint where the shaft turns is loose looking to me, its kinda got rust, so im probably going to do a different steering pump, a sn rack, and a solid steering shaft.

still cant figure out that knock in the steering i thin my next order is going to be 2 front bilstein hd struts, road and track springs, energy motor and trans mounts, front spring iso's and sway end links. this way when i pull the front apart again to grease the front control arm bushigns i can put it back together for good. then ill do the rear then the brakes probably. unless i tihnk of something more economical to do.

so i got a 3g alt kit from guy, wires, terminals and all. need to find out what year taurus' alternators i need, or if i should just get one from a 95 mustang gt from a parts store.

home for break working, when i get back to school i plan on spending allot of money on my suspension stuff and power steering pump, then finding someone to put my motor mounts in.

so today i think i got a power steering pump thats gonna work, i defected the one i got out at the advance here and got another, and put it in today and the things kinda still loud at lock, but doesent squawk when you turn it too fast, and its not fully bled yet so its jittering some. and i got my replacement bumper extension on that doesent buldge out, and ordered 2 high flow cats, and upper control arm bushings from moog, to get put on with my motor mounts by my friends father at home. after thats done im only about 700 dollars away from finishing up my suspension for the time being, maybe might spend around 1100 and get my lower ca's in there. then this summer i can work on my brakes. and start looking for an explorer motor.

for now my motor plans are to find an explorer motor in good shape, tear it down to a short block, clean everything up really good, toss an e cam, or maybe a tfs cam in there, get the intake mainifold ported and polished, do all new gaskets, hoses, water pump, high pressure oil pump, and bigger, tbody, shorty headers, ect, and aim for 300 to the wheels.

Not to offend anyone on the boards who may own one with this color scheme, but i dont know why ford ever did the 2 tone silver to begin with. It looks 100000x better this way. Very nice man
