So I had an emergency skidding stop yesterday with my 2 day old tires- tire smoke, screeching, the whole nine.
Now I feel what feels like a flat spot. A rythmic thud that's definitely RPM-dependant. I haven't had time to take the tire off, but I saw the skid mark later and I'd have to guesstimate it at 30 feet or so. It was a 65-0 stop, and it looks like just the left (I would assume front) tire.
Should this happen to brand new tires after 1 skid? I wouldn't think so...
I went with Mastercraft (Cooper) 255/35/18 in the front, and 275/35/18 in the back. They're inexpensive, but I did alot of research on them, and no one had any complaints on them. However, if this is truly a flat spot, I'm thinking of switching...
