How do I know if a car has been in Florida its whole life?
Someone could have moved down to Florida and brought the car with them

Sometimes the local ford dealer will do it for you free if you tell them what youre doing,

I would imagine you could try looking up the DSO Code on the door sticker, probably not foolproof but would at least give you an idea.

check for drugs or illegal aliens in the trunk. That's a sure sign it's a Florida car.

Where in Florida?
I've seen cars that were located on the coast for much of their life that had some of the worst rust issues i'd ever seen......being a Florida car isn't ALWAYS a good thing.

this. the DSO code will tell you what district ordered the car.

Carfax has registration and inspection info. This would be the best way.

They're still a little iffy. Two of the cars I own have incorrect info due to inspectors writing wrong miles. Oddly, the older you get the worst they get. My mustang has zero owners and 15,004 miles. Overall, they're still a good idea to run when buying from an unknown.

Car fax is definitely wrong on alot of info but it "should" tell you all the states it was registered in if it was registered in multiple states.
