flow master 40 mufflers and catback tubing

For everyone who has gone with flowmaster 40's and gotten tubing elsewhere which tubing did you go with? and where did you get it, prices maybe?? thanks alot.

What tubing? If you are just doing weld ins, continue to use your existing OEM flowpipes, tailpipes.

It's not nessecary to get new tubing? will the tubing from aftermarket catback not flow better than stock?

yeah new mandrel bent tubing with a good catback will flow better than stock, but it will cost more. weld ins will still flowbetter than stock and i have the 40's welded in, sounds really good to me. think it was bout 225-250 installed.

will the aftermarket tubing not make a difference in sound? is it entirely the muffler?

im sure there will be some difference, maybe louder but i honestly dont know this one

the sound is going to change most with the mufflers, I doubt the piping will change the sound, only if you don't have bends in in which is hard, I have my flows welded in and it sounds great, I wouldn't suggest making your own catback, either weld the flows in or break the bank and get the catback, Its just not worth it to make your own and it will most likely cost more or as much as the catback
