I was wondering if Flowaster 2 chambers sound better with time, that's what i've heard before. I dont think theres insulation on them so I was wondering if and why they sound better after having them longer.

I noticed that mine got louder after a little while. When I first got them I thought they were not loud enough, but after time I was satisfied.

I don't see how they could. there are metal baffles welded in there. what is there to change other than rust like mentioned earlier. I have never noticed any diffence. some days my borla's seem louder to me than others but I doubt they really are I think it is mental.

I put them on my Mach the day after I bought it & after 900-something miles of driving my Flowmaster 40-Series 2 chambers are louder & grow more so each day. Can't wait till I put my LTs & X-pipe on Saturday.

they do get louder with time and a little smoother (in my case with a catted X).. I've had them for 2 years, no sound issues or rust

I love my original 40 series flowmasters! I do hope you guys are right when you say they get louder. I only have about 1500 miles on them.

Yeah, I would agree that they just do sound better and get a little louder with time. Not sure what it is. Back in the day on my 85 GT, thats what happened.

Can't wait to get my Delta 40's installed next month

anyone got a sound clip or a video of a 2V 4.6 with the flowmaster 40's and a prochamber, a video or sound clip of one actually taking off not just free revving?

Michigan football (good program by the way, a buddy of mine is a die-hard)

have you tried www.mustangexhaust.com ??

They have a lot of sound clips, some from sitting, others are stangs taking off.
You have to register to listen, but the guy is cool. I never got any spam after signing up. Have been on there many times, droolin over the Flows

lol, I just got on here to ask this same question. I have had my Flows on for about 2 weeks and I didn't know if they were actually getting louder or if it was just in my head.....
