Ok I cant handle the resonance of this damn exhaust. Freeway driving is a SOB. I was wondering if you guys knew if Magnaflow catbacks resonated the same way? I had originally planned to go with an O/R Bassani xpipe and a Magniflow catback but put it on hold since the stang already came with a full exhaust. I need to spend a few $$$ on the suspension before I do the catback change, I just wanted to get some suggestions first on what makes for the best freeway drive. Thanks guys :nice:

yeah I got flows on mycar, it freaking resonates so bad I worry about my hearing. I got LT's, dr.gas, and cats this time around so it oughtta be easier on me ears. from what I hear, shorties tend to drone a lot, so do off road mids. but yeah, my flows resonate bad at around 2k. (this was with bbk shorties, off road mids)

i have dumped spintechs and there is no drone :) its very quiet and not raunchy and resonating to death like MACs or Flowmaster.

what kind of spintechs are you running? i have sportsmans and they're great.

but on a warm day they do produce some drone, not terrible but there is a back ground noise. nothing like flowmaster. it goes away past 2500 rpm.

on a cool morning or into the night they're fine.

If you want an exhaust that doesnt drone, just look for one with a straight through design like the maganflow. Any muffler with chambers is gonna be loud and drone like crazy.

i agree... if you want to get rid of drone go with a straight through design. Bassani or Magnaflow.

I use the Hooker Maxflow straight through design.

Dont spend all the cash on a new catback... Just buy a pair of the right size mufflers and have them welded in.

(although in all fairness you could sell the flow catback and you may be able to install a new catback yourself, making for a swap that isnt as bad as it could be).

You can also pick up some power moving out of a flowmaster. For some reason they arent that good at providing power.
