Flowmaster single chamber

i am thinking of putting the small flowmaster single chambers on my 06' GT, it is stock for now i was just going to cut the stock mufflers off and put the single chambers in its place.
my buddy has an 05' GT and he has the 40 series, i want mine to be louder than his. Anyway will they mess up the car any since they are race mufflers??? Thanks

i dunno how it will sound, but no "performance" muffler will hurt your car. i imagine there will be massive amounts of drone with this muffler.

a resonance frequency that will annoy the driver during part throttle driving.

i had a set on my 03 gt, sounded damn good with the stock h. im running one split out the back on my chevy pickup with the 5.3 sounds mean, my buddy is running one on his 05 f150 4x4 with the 5.4, sounds pretty nasty. one chamber flows should sound pretty good on the 05s, real similar to imco extremes if i had to guess.

I agree you may have problems with drone.... If you just having them laying around then I say try them out. Wouldnt hurt anything but if your going out and buying new mufflers and you like the flowmaster sound, just get the ones made for the new mustangs. Then if you want it louder go with an off-road H pipe and/or headers.

thanks for the input. i think i am going to try them they were off of a 96 s10 with a v6, they are 2 1/2" so they should work. only paid $50 for two
