Flowmaster 40's is what I have now matched to a Magnaflow X. It's pretty loud but I want louder. I'm thinking if I should switch over to MagnaPacks because I heard they're pretty loud. Are the packs louder than the flows? I'm looking for people with experience with both exhaust system to reply. Thanks.

i bought a set of magnapacks when i first got car. didn't sound right to me, with the prochamber anyway. prob. would sound better through an x, like yours. i would say they are prob. louder, but its a different sound, so its hard to say exactly. plus its been a while.

its strange, i love the fit & quality of em. i even liked the sound of em on other cars, but sounded like cherry bombs on mine. so i sold em.

I dont know what your price range really, is but I believe borla makes a extremely excellent exhaust system for your engine, that blows the Magna and the flow out of the water...

I find my offroad x --> original 2 chamber flows setup to be extremely tame. It is much quieter inside the cabin then from the outside. It sounds awesome from the outside.

Magnapacks are going to give a smoother, deeper, mellower tone, I don't know about louder though, just different. You'll lose the echo'ed throaty rumble of the flows though.

I was thinking of the 1 chamber flows. But from my understanding, they only make em as center in, center out. Do you know if they have em in offset in, offset out. If so, please let me know cuz I'll jump on em so quick you wouldn't believe it.

Magnapacks are louder than Flows......assuming the mid pipe is stock.

I used to think Flows were loud. But they seem quiet to me now. An O/R mid pipe really wakes up both the Flows and Packs.

Flows are quiet unless you have the 1 chambers. Mine with an X pipe was louder then my buddies H+2 chamber combo.

Im WAY louder now.

both quality and performance are extremely close between Magnaflow/packs and Borla. but Magna products are much less expensive.
