f*** flowtech!!!!

**** this really pisses me ****ing off....if you guys dont remember a while back I got my H pipe...I installed it at home but it kept leaking so I took it to my mechanic and he tightend it all up nice and good, I went home as soon as I got nearly to my house it started leaking again so i went right back. He put it on the lift and noticed that the flange was bending/bent which it shouldnt do. Anyways to make a long story short he fixed it by doublebolting it and tighting it up again.

BUT yesterday I heard a leak, I took it to my mechanic and he said its the same thing but now its on the opposite side.

So im ****ing pissed off. I called FLOWTECH/HOLLEY and they said "send back the product and we will send you a new one"

Thats bull****, wow I can get a new one but what happens to the $200 for install, then when I get the new one im going to have to get it installed again...so theres $400 and if I dont do it my self removal of the H-Pipe as well.

Do you think there is anything I can do to get some money from flowtech or somthing like that? you understand my point right? why the **** should I spend $400 or buy a new HPIPE when its flowtechs fault...

That's interesting. I put a Flowtech on my car almost a year ago and it has never had a leak. It was actually much better than the BBK junk one that I had to send back.

Sounds like improper installation. The bolts need to be tightened down evenly to seal properly. Once that's done, I've never had any of the pipes I've had on numerous cars leak.

You may have just got a bum one...I think for the most part warranties only cover the product themselves. I can't visualize how your flange was bending, maybe some pics would clarify a bit.

Junk headers?? I have ran a set of their shorty headers on my 94 for 3 years and never had to touch them the entire time they were on the car, I even used the same cheap gaskets that came with them. For the money you can't really beat them. I have never known anyone to use one of their H or X pipes though. A shop charged you $200 to install a H pipe? That is crazy

exhaust really isnt that hard, as i am putting on my whole exhaust system myself right now from headers back, and having to go through welds in the process, just need a good grinder =) not hard at all, a few brackets and bolts and its outta there, headers are allitle different, that is why i use allen wrench headed header bolts =)

This is why i've always liked MAC, sure they're not the best quality stuff but everything bolts up like it's OEM. I've also never had any issues with MAC, though i've heard the horror stories. I've heard Flowtechs sound crappy? I dunno, just what i've heard.

i agree with mustangGX..sounds like an install problem and on top of that he jacked u around on teh price...200 for installation is obsurd for an H pipe...the shop around here is rather expensive and they charge leik 85 i think...

AS for flowtech...my friend had their X pipe and it sounded good and fit ok too...he also had their H pipe for some time too...and that was all good as well

which flange u talking about? the pipe to muffler one or the header to Hpipe?
