Hey guys,
I got a question on my midpipe. I got my BBK o/r x installed finally and after about a week the raspiness has gotten to me so I want an H. All that jegs really offers is flowtech, prostang, and the jegs. I can't find much on here about the flowtech. Any clues on what it would sound like with my flows? thanks.

Your problem is the flowmasters. They are chambered, and since the air is flowing at a different pattern and rate, they rattle back, causing this raspy sound you hate. I currently have stock. Might I suggest the combos below:

Catted X w/ Magnaflow Magnapack Catback
O/R X w/ Magnaflow Catback
O/R X w/ Bassani Quiet Thunder Catback
O/R X w/ Borla Stinger Catback
O/R X w/ Dynamax Racebullets (I think this is the name of these. I know someone that has these on an H, sounds good)

Most people do not like the sound of chambered mufflers on o/r x pipes because of the rattling of it. I once had flowmasters, but they are sitting on the side of my house now. I might throw them back in one day, or just run straight pipes (which sounds good, also, just very low with minor tone).

Hope this helps you make a decision.

The H pipe will give you the deep rumble. How the Flows should be. I run a O/R H with Flows Super 40 series. :nice: The H pipes are mainly all the same, tho some just fit better. I am using a "Jegs" H pipe. Doesnt fit like a glove but gets the job done. Its all what type of sound you want. Flowmaster recomends H pipes for their mufflers... says so on the box.

hmmm. I've read a lot on here that the h would give me more of a rumble and get rid of that. But if I keep my x and get different mufflers it'd go away?
Yes, I am pretty sure that the raspyness will go away if you get any combo's that I described above.

If you like really loud, I guess you could go with Magnapacks on an O/R X. I will probably be getting packs to put on my Bassani O/R X.
