fluid for worldclass t5

that redline stuff you have wont work and could cause damage to your tranny if you decided to run it. in my old t-5z (now have tko) i ran redline D4 which is designed for the t-5 and simliar trannies that like super slippery lubricants. my shifting action improved when switching from plain jane atf to the redline. i also hear good things about royal purpal or amsoil aft fluids. basicly anything synthetic will be good insurance and provide longer fluid change intervals. everyone have had different ecperiences when switching and for the most part the reponse is positive. good luck~ :nice:

I use Dextron/Mercon ATF. I have a stock T-5 which is the same as the WC, with weaker parts. Syncromesh is for Tremecs.

If you tranny is stock, it is a WC tranny, but that's just a side note.

I think synthetics are the way to go, and I've heard of Synchromesh being used in T5s ok before. The Tremecs actually specify Synchromesh or ATF themselves.

I think I might try Synchromesh with my next T5, but definitely something like Mobil-1 would be fine.

gear oil is only for the non-WC t-5's

WC actually refers to the synchro and bearing style of the trans. Has nothing to do with the load rating. Every V8 Mustang trans from 85.5 up is a World Class style T-5

quoted for importance!

dont use GEAR OIL in a WC T5. another D4 user here.

Triblk6spd, what do you have? from your username, i might have guessed a T56. just curious.

good luck.

Any quality ATF that meets the Mercon/Dextron standard; if the car gets cold in the winter, a synthetic will move things more easily and warm up a bit more quickly. I use Amsoil synth. ATF in mine and in my wife's BMW. Seems to work just fine.
