Fluidyne Sucks

Man this thing is leaking in ten spots says the radiator shop.... I called Fluidyne this morning and they basically bs'd me on the warranty thing, and said they don't do repairs either


what options do i have....... any ideas, don't want a chopped up installed, but don't really want to spend 350$ again either

Wow ten spots and they won't cover it under warranty. Is it still under warranty (stupid but figured I'd ask)? Look into AFCO radiators I've spoken to a few people who use them and they are very happy with them.

C&R is a good choice, I had a fluidyne on my last car and it worked well. I might have got lucky though

Dude, that sucks. I'm planning on buying a Fluidyne in the next week or so (stocker is leaking and i'm having to run a 10lb cap).

Did the radiator shop have any suggestions on how to repair it? If the seams aren't too hard to get to, I would suggest finding a good welder who can TIG thin aluminum.

i heard all the fluidyne horror stories too. mine is going on 4 years old now with no problems at all.

i have a fluidyne that has about 3 visible pinhole leaks in it..... they were the cause of me losing coolant and doing my head gaskets about 3 times..... got a new one and it cleared the problem up.... hopefully this one holds up

well i was well satisfied with it..... till the leaks. i figure the thing should last a long time with the price..... my boss here at work said to order a basic aluminum and we would cut the brackets off the fluidyne and weld it to the new one to make it a custom fit as well....... thats plan b.

I am gonna shop around and see what else i like etc. before i make a decision.... i was happy with the radiator, but i figured they would do something, and they basically told me it wasn't their problem. in short i think they make a good product, but their customer service sucks a$$

So far I'm very happy with my el cheapo Visteon radiator. Perfect fit, no leaks, and the car runs cooler.

i will probably wind up with another one, its the only one i see thats a direct fit, except for the BE COOL one that is 519$, i looked at that C&R site didn't see on ethat would fit.


any other options, i am gonna check out the visteon thing mentioned above...... thanks

So far I'm very happy with my el cheapo Visteon radiator. Perfect fit, no leaks, and the car runs cooler.

Visteon is actually one of the best OEM Radiators $$$ can buy. They pass strict ISO regualtions ect. The only others that are great are Behr for BMW and other German applications. When I get a new rad I'm getting Visteon whether it be the a/m replacement or a Visteon all aluminum. The a/m version that Visteon is identical to the OEM (minus the Ford stamp on the tank

C & R are great radiators but remember Visteon assemble their cores. I'd go w/ either
