fm box for a satallite radio!!

i currently have a sirius starmate and i aquired a fm box that plugs into the cars antenna and sends a more direct signal but the problem is that it is for a xm radio. my question is , will it still work?

i bought the cable for my starmate replay, from bestbuy. i dont know if the one you have will work but they do make one that does.
