If you can get it cheap, then go for it. Looking back now, I wish I had gone that route.

It's possible to do it cheaper with mostly new parts.

Front kit $310 (paint red to match rear calipers)

Rear Kit $175

Rear Calipers $209

That will give you the brunt of the kit. Other parts

94-98 Axles $75 used (or $200 for new aftermarket)
94-95 spindles $100 used
Front dust shields $12 new
Rear soft lines $40 new from NAPA
MC + Booster $50 used
3-2 conversion kit $30
prop valve plug $10
adjustavle prop valve $40
e-brake cables $50 or so
Brake fluid $10
misc fittings and adapters $15-20

Comes out to about $1150 not including shipping for any of that stuff.

I may be missing some peices, but that's the basic kit right there.

I put my 2300K kit together for $700-800, but i used used rear calipers, used front 13" cobra disks and got my SN95 axles for free.

Then again, it's nice to have everything in one kit and brand spanking new. I spread my search for parts out over a year, so it was more fun for me tracking down stuff.

I hate to say it, but I have never seen the price of that kit go down......only up. That is why I pieced mine together.
