i've always debated on whether to go with the ford kit or a Baer kit... Working on other projects so this gets delayed once more...

The front of the Baer kit is the same as the Cobra kit. Same PBR calipers but more fancy. They also use a modified FOX spindle and not the later model SN95 style spindle. The rear is where the kit is different. I am glad I used Ford parts. I went with the Mach 1 calipers up front for two reasons 1. Cobra calipers are STILL on backorder from like 2-3 months ago 2. I like a more factory look.

If you REALLY want to get fancy up front, spend the $919 on the Brembo 4 piston calipers and rotors for up front (summit). Now that is BAD ASS!
Stupid me will probably upgrade to those in a few months when I should have done it in the first place...LOL.

Baer makes a kit thats as complete as the Ford Kit and you can option to use OEM Spindles...

undecided as to which way i'm gonna go.

Baer does have a version that uses the SN95 spindle. I beleive their 4-lug setup uses the modded Fox spindle and 5-lug can be either.

I agree with you on the Mach 1 calipers. I just bought a Mach 1 front kit for my GT for $310! Seems nobody likes the plain black caliper so these kits are cheaper and plenty in stock. It came in 4 days! I painted the caliper red as black was a little too plain.

Oops, my mistake. I am just so used to seeing the kit with the modded fox spindle, I assumed nono that is all they offered.

The cost savings on the Mach 1 calipers is unreal. I bought mine for $179 I think and the Cobra's are $215. I do wish I got the Cobra ones, but I am into a stock look, inside the car and out. Funny though that the black is more of a flat black on the Mach 1 calipers unlike the rear Cobra calipers which are a glossier black. Oh well, all I care about is braking performance anyways.
