I just got a 97 GT but it doesnt have fog lights...
Are the wires already installed from the lights to the switch? Is there a kit to buy that has everything I need in it? Any help you guys could give would be great... like, where can I can find the kits/lights n switches for the best price?

Thanks!

Do you have the GT interior, or an interior which looks more like the one found on V6 models? The reason I ask, is that I wondering if you have one of those very rare GT's without option package 3 (creating something very similar to the '95 GTS model).

If you just have a GT that a previous owner removed the factory fog lights, then adding them back should be trivial. Check out my old webpage that outlines the mods I made to my '95 Mustang, and it lists all the parts you need to add the fog lights back.

If you have one of those rare GT's that came from the factory without fog lights (due to the lack of option package 3), then I have no idea what was still installed (wire wise). Sorry.

It is called a 248a option, it should say it in the door. It was the fastest GT made in 96-98. No power options, V6 seats, and 3.27 rear gears!

Well I checked the door for 248A... but I dont see it anywhere. Not sure if Im lookin in the right place. I assumed it was the same sticker that tells the color codes. It's a 97 Gt, with no cruise, no fogs, no keyless entry, no driver power seat, and just am/fm cass... Pony wheels n all. on the sticker under "Int" it says "Z2" i believe. not sure if that means anythin to you guys.

It might just be easier to check for the wires.

Do you have empty holes where the fogs go, or do you have those black fill-in plates like the V6 models?

If you have empty holes, you will need to just look around behind those holes to see if there are fog light wires just dangling there.

If you have those black fill-in plates, you can check just behind the plates. They have a clip built into the back of them to hold the unused fog light wire.

I had the same thing, and my 96 was wired for them.

A good place to get a kit is from: http://www.velocitymustangperformance.com
