DISCLAIMER: I have never owned a car with fog lights before nor have I looked underneath my car to see how to change the fog lights as of yet because I just found out this morning I had one go out on me.

To replace the fog light on my '01 GT, do I have to buy the whole assembly or just a bulb (like I would for the headlights)?

Also if there is a trick to changing a fog light bulb/assembly please let me know, I am not a very mechanicly inclined person and it would take me awhile to figure out the "trick"!

Thank you in advance

Just the bulb (if it's out)

If you want to replace the assembly, you can get them many places, one of my favorites is http://www.velocitymustangperformance.com

to replace the bulb, I believe you need to remove the whole assembly, and when I replaced mine, I had to jack up the car in the front.

Thank you

I am not planning on replacing the whole assembly, I just want to replace the bulbs since that is all that is necessary. I am going to just replace both so there is no "one side is brighter than the other" incidents.

I dunno if you had to do this on yours since it's a 96 but on the 99+ you don't need to remove the assembley you just need to twist the bulb in the socket and it should come out pull apart the clip holding it in place and the bulb comes out of the socket.

I never had to remove the assembly, I worded it wrong, my fault..sorry.

My GT never came with fogs, I had to add them myself, and I had to jack the car to do it.
