One would want to source power to the fog light switch from the parking lights, but only use this to energize a relay to turn on the fogs. Otherwise, circuits can overload.
I did mine a little differently than they do, but that is a sound write-up from what I recall. And it is so much easier to refer to that than typing all the steps out (I mentioned it for that reason, not to be a blow off).
