Foglights on a Saleen Bumper

told everyone what, lots of people saw the thread and know i got banned. The mod's told me to make a new account, but that i couldnt say what i said again. They said pm them and post in the staff forum. So i will do as they said, they also said my screen name was banned forever, but then they said the ban would be lifted in november, i dunno so many conflicting things so i just made a new one

These are the lights i was thinking about , and i would want them tucked in a lil bit, as not to be flush with the bumper.

I am pretty sure those will not fit very well.

Backfocus, the GT trim thing was referring to the Saleen front and GT side/rear skirts... not your set up.

Thanks for the explanation 25th. The side skirts are actually quiet different than the GT, but a little hard to tell from the photo and they are also not as skinny as the Saleen's. The back is another story I always hated it, it was completely different than anything else, not a GT, although it looked similar from the side, but not Cobra either.

I'm a die-hard Saleen nut. No OEM Saleen kit looks like that. None of the lines are similar at all. They may have modeled it after the Saleen kit, but it is nothing like it at all.

MUSTANG5L5, I would be a bigger fan! Never once did I say my kit was a Saleen, I said it was a Xenon Saleen kit by name only.

It is closer to what the early Saleens had for fronts

But it did have similar lines to the 1989 Saleen, and saying this I am talking about the front air dam only, which is what the original question was referring too.

1989 Saleen

The only major difference is this.

Maybe it is just me, but looks pretty close! I wish people would read a little closer to what is said and not what you think is being said!

Here is a 1990 Saleen that now has the lower part recessed more like the cervinis kit has, but even that kit is not exact. Probably because of patent issues?

I know what your saying but to ME personally, yours on the Saleen kit look nothing alike. Yours has a different shape, your openings are in a different place, and are sized much different. You also have that extra bulge your pointing out... The Saleen contours down with the LX valance and then sweeps back out down towards the bottom where it comes to a sharper edge, yours comes off straighter hits that extra bulge, and then seems less sharp and more rounded down below. Couple that with the huge openings, which are more square and seem to be located near the center of the car, and to me it looks nothing like it.

I am just referring to this quote you used...

I don't have pictures on my work computer, but if you look at the late 80's Saleen's, the front is the same.

I also have a Cervini's Saleen front bumper on mine. It doesn't look just like the originals either, but resembles the white car you just posted close enough for me.

blackfocus, My point is that the kit doesn't look anything like the Saleen kit in my opinion. I don't see a single line or contour that looks the same.
If i were to see that kit on a car, Saleen wouldn't even come to mind. That's all I'm trying to say.

Don't do it, it looks like crap, no matter what you do.
I've experimented with lot's of different ones.
None ever look like they belong there. They all look like someone went out of the way to do it, and not in a good way.
And please whatever you do, don't use any of those crappy pepboys lights that look purple.

And 5L5 is right, that air damn doesn't resemble in the slightest a saleen.
