I can not figure out who I was talking to about Baer brakes. We had a PM discussion about Baer vs. the SSBC kit. And we were both under the impression that the TRACK kit (13" rotor) would not work with our spindles on the 67's. I went back and forth on which to buy. The Baer's with 12" or the SSBC with 13". Finally after getting conflicting information on trying to set up a quote I got a bad vibe with both Mustangs Plus and working directly with SSBC. I talked to two different people within both of those places and got different answers as far as what fits. So I said screw it... I'll got with the smaller rotors, and Baer. When I got on the phone with the guy and told him what I had.. He immediately pointed towards his TRACK kit with the 13" rotors. I explained to him that I was under the impression that kit would not work with my spindles. He said that was not true and that my spindles would work fine. So I took him on his word and ordered them. My heart is still thumping at dropping that kind of coin. Oh well. It actually will cost less than the SSBC kits. I did ask him what we'd do if there was an oversight on either of our behalf's that I could exchange the kits... He said no problem.

So in summary I just wanted to blab about how dealing with sales guys can really make an impression on who gets your business. Both SSBC and Mustangs Plus dropped the ball.

And for whomever it was that I talked to about the Baers, I hope this thread helps you out in what choices you make for buying your brakes. I apologize that this is NOT a tech thread.... but wanted to make sure I got the word out to the guy I was PM'ing with. I deleted all of those files awhile ago. And I'd appreciate the effort if someone did it for me. We're all just trying to help each out... right?

I know you and I conversed about baer and SSBC.
You mentioned in your PM about the larger Baer needing different spindles and since I run SSBC I just glazed over it because I have never installed a set of baers.

I am glad you got your problems worked out. the larger rotors and calipers will look good behind a 17 inch rim

Yeah, I did remember talking to you. But someone else was toiling with the same problem I had. Thanks again for lending your opinion. I'm just surprised both of those places dropped the ball that way. Both of them were telling me prices on kits before I even got a chance to specify exactly what I wanted. Oh well. I'll continue to do business with M+. Haven't had any problems with them otherwise.
