for the people who have/had side exit

for those of you who have or had side exit exhaust, did you guys get a lot of rattling from the tips hitting the skirts. right now when i drive down the road all i here is the slapping of the tips onto my stock skirts. it is really annoying. i was just wondering if anyone else had this problem, and what they did to fix it?

You might need a bracket on the bend of the pipe to keep it from banging. I had side exits for a while and they never hit.

I had the same problem...had the shop weld another bracket closer to the exit and problem solved.

Mine never made any noise, it was just too close to the side skirt for me. I just fooled around with the exit pipe where it connects to the muffler until it fit just right.

thanks for the replys, i guess i will just have to get under there and play around with it, maybe look into having a shop add another bracket.

Nope, I just had a hanger kinda close to the side, never had it rattle on me.

Mine rattled when the rubber hanger close to the tip got old and worn. popped some new ones on and fixed the problem.

Where'd you get those hangers? The one on my driver's side is worn out (starting to crack) and I wanna replace it before it breaks and cracks the side skirt or something.

just got some generic hangers at autozone. they were pretty much identical...

My hangers are pretty far in but it dosent rattle, and if it does I dont hear it cause my exhaust is so loud.

I think mine dosent rattle cause of the way the pipe is bent.
