im looking at going either turbo or supercharged but i was wondering what all i would need to to to a '88 5.0 lx to get it ready for forced induction so i don't damage it immediately damage. I have a cold air, headers, full 3" flowmaster with catco high flows, gears, Steeda short throw and a hotter ignition and 22lb injectors.

is it still speed density? it would probably be very wise to get it over to mass air if it is still speed density

Before any project, you must search the existing information on this site.

Seriously man, you want to go MAF, and put the battery in the trunk. Start making room for it. Depending what you want to do, remove AC and smog pumps too.

I always thought a sd setup was better suited for higher hp and boosted applications over a maf simply because of the meters limitations and the ability to match the engine efficeny to the afr readings on your wideband (more precise tune). But what do I know.
