a month ago my battery wen tdead and when i jumped the car the remote would not unlock or lock the doors. i have been forced to use the key which sucks since i have not had to do anything more then press a button from thirty feet away for the last year. so I checked all the fuses under the hood and under the dash. I also check any of the wiring to maybe see if there was loose connection some where.

Now today i go to move the seat up with the power seat and the dam thing won;t move. I thought my fat a$$ might be too much to move, so i got up and moved the switch and still nothing.

what the hell is going on?

do you guys have any idea what the deal is.

If I had to guess I'd say these are both random events. For your remote problem, try changing the remotes battery. If this fails, almost all alarm systems have a key pattern you can push that will sync up your keypad to your alarm system. I do not know what this pattern is, but if someone else knows I'm sure they will tell you. As for your seat, unbolt it from the floor (or if you can squeeze your head and do that whole upside down standing on your legs backwards to look underneath it) and check to see if all wires are properly attatched. If they are, It's a possiblity the motor went in the seat.

the power seat is on the fuse with the ciggarett lighter, so check and see if your cigg lighter works, might just be a fuse causing the seat not to work. one time a penny fell in the cigg lighter and shorted it out causing my seat not to work

sorry to bump this but i am still having problems....

ok here is the deal, today i got really frustrated and went under the hood to check the fuses under there. none were bad but, i took a 40 amp out and put it back in and the friggin alarm went off. glad it works again but it took me five or so minutes to find my remote. So that works fine now.

BUt my seat still is not working...i checked all the fuses and none were blown. i also check the cig lighter and the aux port and both no power. thats a classic sign that the fuse is blown, but no blown fuses.

Does anyone know which fuse it is that the cig lighter, aux port, and seat is. i looked in my book but i couldn't find it. thanx

ok i am an idot....sorry to bump this thread. I went and looked in the book and saw where the fuse was, then i went to check the fuse, and it wasn't even there. It was in the spot for a vert top. How the fuse jumped one whole spot i will never know, but it did. More then likely it was tampered with by someone in my household...Or it may of been me, not sure though. Anyway sorry, i will do the work before i ask stupid questions
