So i head down to my local ford dealership to order some stainless steel hood pins. Go to the parts department and the guy said he couldn't find any hood pins that were made by ford racing. :bang: So he starts looking in the Roush book for them... :nonono: So i procede to tell him that I have them on my car now but they've rusted and I need to get a new set and that ford does make them lol. So hes like ok what year is your mustang? I wanted to be like its not a stock piece you retard. So then hes like why do you need hood pins? I was like i have an aftermarket hood so he's like well that is your problem right there! I was like you gotta be kidding me. I'm like the hood pins are an AFTERMARKET piece made by ford racing, they dont come stock on mustangs. So he looks at me with this dumb look  and I just tell him to forget it and I walked out. :rlaugh:

Looks like i'll just have to order them online and never go back to that stupid dealership for anything.

Some dealerships deal with more perf stuff than others. One in town here sells Steeda stuff, for instance. They're a little more savvy than the other dealership, whom has no clue about non-production-NOS type parts. I don't fault the parts guys too much in and of that. I would think it rude if he wanted to play 20 questions with me, as happened with you.

I had the local dealership tell me the 94-95's didnt come with the radiator air deflector. :rlaugh:

My F150 is under warranty, so I have to deal with Ford dealerships all the time. I had a ton of problems with the driver side caliper... after 4 trips back I asked to speak to the manager. He payed special attention to it and turned out I needed a new one. The underling types kept re-lubricating it, replacing rotors, pads, etc etc etc but I could tell they didn't want to tell their boss they had to replace it for free. The manager replaced at no charge to me and problem solved.

Moral of the story is: go straight to the top at dealerships.

Sounds as bad as when me and my dad went down to the Ford dealer to look at 03/04 Cobras. I pulled into the lot in MY Cobra, and when I asked the stupid salesman that came up to us if they had any 03/04 Cobras left on the lot the retard completely AVOIDED the question, then pointed out the 05/06 V6 mustangs, and then said the V6 is actually FASTER THAN and will outhandle the 03/04 COBRA! This ginormous dumbass sees me pull up in my car and thinks he can fool me into that kind of crap?

On a somewhat related note, a customer came into our shop yesterday and saw my car show plaques on the wall, asked me a few questions about my cobra, then actually said...."ALL REAL COBRAS ARE SUPERCHARGED, THEY NEVER MADE ONE THAT WASN'T SUPERCHARGED"...Like this retarded piece of something who doesn't know his head from his ass is trying to educate ME on weather or not my cobra is real? I wanted to punch him square in the face but just walked away. I was SO PISSED OFF!

I looked at an '03 Mach I at a dealer in early 2005.
They wanted $25,000 for it and I reminded the salesman that they were selling brand new leftover '04 Machs for that when the '05's came out. He replied by saying, "Well, these cars are rare." So why'd you sell the leftover '04's cheap?!!:bang:
Nevermind the fact that the bottom of the front bumper was dented like someone Dukes of Hazarded the car, and the Chin Spoiler was missing.
Then the manager heard me talking about the '04's and he intervened and asked me what I was looking for. I said, "Any Mustang you guys have with a 4v 4.6."
His next question, "Old or new?" Keep in mind, this is early 2005, and there were no leftover '04 models on this lot whatsoever...and this was the freaking manager!!!

In all fairness to that dealership, their service guys know what's up. I took my '01 there for free work on a TSB and the guy knew what the problem was and that I didn't have to pay for it even though the warranty was up without even looking at the computer. This was after another dealer told me no TSB existed.
The parts guys also know their stuff, and they also sell a lot of performance parts.

If all they did was sell parts and service cars, they'd be alright.:nice:

man there are so many stupid people out there....theres guys that say cobras are fake because the rear bumper only says mustang....another guy said that a cobra wansnt real because it didn;t have clear corners and i told him they have clear headlights the corners are still amber lol and another guy this one is auctually my friend... :( argued with me that 04 was the first and only year that cobras were supercharged not 03

yeah dealerships around here are asshats like that you cant get them to budge price at all there was a mustang i was looking at awhile ago it had a code and the front bumper was all scrapped up and cracked and i said would you take less for it and he looked at me madly and said well i dont know what your expecting im not giving cars away it is what it is...i then procceded to leave right there .....:nonono:

My same experience. They look at you like yer the dummy, :rlaugh: . BTW, I bought the FRPP hood pins for my hood...I fits so tight that I don't need them!..But I'll let you all know when I am clocking 120+ in the QM.
