Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has the timing and duration specs for factory hi performance cams like the 289 hipo, ford c90z-c, and the 302 boss cams in .050" format? and also if they were more powerful than the E-303 of today. Thanks.

This should be the original HiPo specs:

.05 Duration .228 Intake .228 Exhaust Valve Lift .477 Intake .477 Exhaust

There has been sooo much learned since those were made. The e-cam is an efi cam and the car will run ok with it, but not the best choice for a carb motor. Call a cam company and let them help you out.

Nonsense, the EFI hydraulic rollers work extremely well with carbs too. I've used the "base" roller, F4TE, B303, and now the Z303 with carbs and they all preformed stellarly with carbs. If he wants an improved factory Hi-po cam, Comp Cams makes a couple.

All the reading I've done points to efi liking more lobe seperation than carbs. An e-cam is a carb approved part, need I say more on that. The RIGHT cam can make a big difference, and to advise on a cam with no idea on the set up or experience designing cams is crazy.
