Yes don't all jump up on red05 he didn't know they were extending the production run

Up until recently however, Red you were correct, Ford had slated on ending ranger production end of 09 early 2010. But like Ranger04 said since the people still need trucks, and this is going to be the time of the "small truck", ford would further blunder things up if they cancelled the Ranger.

Thanks my friend, for your understanding and being there for me. As I'm indeed very grateful.

Now that were all happy and loving again ha ha. I read just read yesterday on blue oval news, that The new direction Alan is taking ford, leaves ford setting the prettiest of the three american car companies in this down market. Ford is going to be bringing several of it's european cars over here. Even Alan knows that alot of americans ask why can't we get some of those cool european cars here, he's going to fix that. Alan believe the road to recovery is product, a simple truth. If you make the product people want, you will sell cars. We know ford is expanding thier truck line, I guess there also going to really be expanding thier car line as well. I'm looking forward to seeing what all we will be getting over here. Some of those european and austrailian fords will really run. For to long now, the american car companies has gotten away from product to a certain extent, They built awesome trucks, but the cars were boreing, now thats about to change and it's about time. I mean the new mustang was cool and the fusion, but the rest of fords cars were boreing, what there was of them. For a while, ford had more trucks and suv's in thier line up than they had cars. I love trucks, but bring us back some cool cars as well.

They are bringing over the new Fiesta and European Focus.. They are retooling a number of truck factories to produce these new cars for 2010. They are also bringing over (I believe) 4-5 other cars/trucks which will all get good gas mileage.. i don't know about you guys, but i'd rock a euro fiesta or Focus for a Daily driver to commute in!!!

The euro Fiesta is pretty cool, and I've always been a fan of the Focus, especially the European-only models. I'd love to have a Euro-spec Focus over here for a DD.

It's normal for Ford to lose $8.7B USD. They should get used to it like we have to get used to their poor product quality. The fall of the American automakers shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Is it too much to ask for global windows, stereo controls on the steering wheel, telescoping steering wheel adjustments, a sunroof, projector HIDs, LED exterior lights, chilled seats, a gas tank that takes gasoline, and a throttle that has the same response as a cable throttle and not a golf cart? I think not.

I'll vote for a gas tank that actually takes gas. I still have problems putting gas in mine at times. And with the price, it just prolongs the agony.
Ford's European vehicles look great and there's an Australian Ford truck I really like. But have you seen the prices of these things??
The European Focus begins at $25,000!!!!

Ford has stepped up quality 100 told in recent years with recent models. Seems like most models coming today are coming with HID's ( the new mustangs have em) stereo controls on the steering wheel, meh that does nothing for me. The other things you stated they have as well. The explorer and other models you can adjust the pedals so they are closer or further away. I think ford was one of the first ones to do that.

Also - i haven't seen pricing other then the Fiesta which is susposed to go in the 15k range for a base.. I'd be all over that for a DD

Guys, if you think Ford's second quarter 8.7 billion dollar loss is bad. Take a look at GM's 15.5 billion dollar loss for it's 2008 second quarter.

That being said, Ford is actually doing better than both GM, and Chrysler

I agree that they should give the things we want, that would make ppl want to buy them more. I was disappointed that Ford would put auto windows in a stang but not in my wifes Escape. To many options imo can be a killer like I see they finally dropped the 3.0 in the rangers. not that I have anything against the 3.0 but it makes sense to only have two engine options rather than three.

They dropped the 3.0 in the ranger because the new duratec 2.5 has 171 hp and 171 foot pounds, so they don't need the 3.0 when you have a 4 cylinder that good. I never heard such pissing in ones corn flakes. Ford makes one of the best cars on the road and they don't have to take a back seat to anyone. I've driven fords all my life and have yet to walk or have a fender fall off. I hope some of you do buy the new camaro, we don't need such whinners in the ford camp. You sound like a bunch of spoiled little ********'s. I'm sure there's a toyota with your name on it somewhere. My ford sucks cause it won't light my smoke for me, or it won't scratch my butt for me, what hog wash, it's a mustang not a fricken caddy, grow a pair for pete's sake!!
