I know the MMs are considered the best but they sit too high and would interfere with my 86's strut tower brace on the passenger side front bolt. Does the Ford racing sit at the same height or lower than the stock bolts?
How good are these plates? Worth getting?

I've had the Steeda CC plates and I had to cut one of the bolts on the right C/C plate down so that my STB would fit over it, so don't be surprised if you have to also.
Thanks for the info. I found out that Steeda and Ford Racing are the same. I also got a dude to email a photo and it does looks like I will need to trim 1/4" off the one bolt. It will leave plenty of threads, though. Soooo...I ordered a set from Summit.
I'm thinking the brace is at least a copy of the Ford Racing if not actually one of theirs. Did you notice any difference in ride or did you change springs and struts at the same time?

I actually installed the brace after I did springs, shocks, camber plates, front and rear control arms, subframe connectors, and new urethane swaybar hardware up front. I went from super sloppy original 140k mile suspension to really tight in 1 day. If the strut brace hadn't interfered with my stock air cleaner it would have gone on at the same time as everything else. But I had to convert to an open air cleaner and it took me a few tries to find one that worked. I did notice a difference on bumpy roads and in real hard cornering, but it's still got a lot of cowl shake. I've got a t-top car and the subframe connectors I installed are the BBK bolt in ones with the seat brackets. I'm hoping welding the subframe connectors in will help too, that's happening soon.
My Capri has T-tops too. You need to weld in the sub-frames. I have the tubular kind with no seat bracket. We get a lot of wind out here and my silly T-top suited frameless windows always have too much wind noise. I have new w-strip ($$$$$) and still is noisy. Also rebuilt all the guts in the door (gears, bushings, etc.) I was thinking of making some sort of blow-out clips like the older Mustangs had.
