I am installing this thing today and I dont know which of the settings to put it on. It says speed sensors ac or dc. Then there are three types reed switch, hall, and reluctance. Which one do I need to use?
it is a ford racing recalibrator and it has a set of dipswitches to adjust speed and it has multiple jumpers that can be adjusted to run of ac signals or dc signals I just dont know which signal my car puts out. I have a 2002 gt 5 speed
it connects into the transmission and wires into a hot wire and depending on the seting you have it will recalibrate your speedometer due to near gears or tires
I just installed mine the other week. The instructions said that the jumpers were already set up for the signal our vss is. Just leave it alone and worry about the bottom switches.
If you don't know how to set the switches here goes, take the gear you started with and then divide by the new gear ratio and then multiply by 100 and you get your %. Then set your switches like the diagram in the instructions and you're all set.
