Forged Internals Cost??

MPH once told me, "A forged rebuild will cost you no less than $6k."

that's including all the labor to pull the motor, disassemble and reassemble the entire thing.

do u guys think its better to get a built bullet proof short block from someone like MPH and have someone else install it, or have MPH do all the work?
Or how about just buying all the internals and having a mechanic friend do it? u can buy everything from a forged crank to Hbeam rods and forged pistons for like 1500 dollars, so i'm kinda leaning towards this route but i'm still really unsure, i dont want to be a cheap skate and have a busted motor later on because i didnt go with a professional shop like MPH for this job. Yes i do stress over this a little.

Keep us informed on how that motor from MMR holds up. I am curious to see how it compares to other short blocks out there.

I will when it gets hear just ordered it a week ago.
