Forged Internals Install - HOW MUCH$$$

I have a 01 GT and was wondering what the install would cost for forged internals. Would it be cheaper to buy a new short block w/ forged internals?

find someone in your area who is good, but works out of their home for extra money on the side, red2000GT got his pistons and rods installed for 500 bucks (canadian, so like 350).. thats motor out, parts in, motor back in car..

so it definately can be done for cheap..

a forged shortblock will run you about 3k and another 1100 or so for the install, depending on where you are. forged internals will run you about 2k plus 2k to install and balance and another 500 or so to pull and then rebuild your motor. that's ballpark of what i was quoted when i was looking so it's a wash.
