ok guys i got about 3k for a forged motor and can save up more if needed i want the car back on the road by mid-march

my oil pump died on me when i was on the highway and it killed the motor

so i pulled the vortech off the car returned her back to stock form and parked her

i found a shop to do the install for me my only problem is i want to do this right the first time out so

what motor would you guys go for ?? so far i have looked at

mmr 900 shortblock $2800
mph shortblock $3600

not sure who else makes forged shortblocks

but i like mmr900 price but i also like mph's reputation

any help would be great guys
i can only afford to do this once and i am only looking for 500rwhp on a safe street car

thxs

One thing you need to relize is that the MMR Block doesnt come with some of the items needed. So once you get all the extra stuff orderd your with in $200 of each other. Trust me I already priced it out.

I went with VT because all the guys I know that have done work with them and also from all the good things I hear on here and other forums. Im not saying MMR is bad because Ive never heard anything bad about them either. Its more which ever you feel most comfortable with.

Steen Racing # 757-480-7223 and Modular Performance # 248-348-1725 are 2 of the best around

I'll personally either be gonig with the VT block or the MMR. Those seem to have a great reputation. BTW, the MPH shortblock is actually built by VT Engines.
