well i was picking up a part for my bronco when i spoted a murkur with the turbo 2.3. the turbo was allready removed but the engine looked very clean, im thinking of buying the motor for a future turbo swap, they want $150 for everything else in the engine bay. these where the same engines as the turbo coupes correct? I was wondering what else i can use from that car, i saw it had IRS and the leather seats where in mint condition, can these items bolt up to a fox body as well? thanks

Yes they are the exact same engines that are in the TC. The engine is the only truly useful part from the merkur. The IRS cannot be used, and you would have to modify the seat tracks and/or make brackets to use them in a fox. However they maybe useful to someone else, so if you feel they are mint enough to grab and resell, i would do it

buy it! i paid $400 for a merkur that was no longer road worthy (salvage title only) and swapped it into my 79 cobra.
