We have a LEAN manufacturing expert in this week giving us some training. He has worked extensively in auto manufacturing plants and their suppliers and he worked for Bosch before he started his own company. What % of the 08 Mustang is manufactured in the US versus the Camry? Any guesses? He said 3 years ago so that would make it and 08 or 09.
Found out today the domestic % of my Stang.

My Tundra is 85% North American parts, 80% USA.
My guess is the Mustang is 65% and the Camry is 75%

That really makes no sense. How do you judge whats a part.
Mabey theres 20000 nuts and bolts made in china and 20000 electronic
componants made in Mexico but 3000 of the engine, frame and body parts
are made in USA, whats more critical...... need proof of exactly whats
made where?

I say check those numbers again. Nobody has that much content from one country whether its Japanese or American
