I have a question. Finally found the electrical short that was shutting everything down. One of the two brass contacts in the steering hub for the horn got worn off/bent and was touching the wrong part. The little brass contacts appear to have worn down to nothing in 1 year. I am going to replace the entire contact/horn/turn signal assembly ($100).
I have a Lecarra wheel w/ the aluminum hub. The two thin contact rings on the back look worn almost thru the thin metal surface. A new hub is expensive ($120). What can I use to lubricate the eletrical contact surface so it does not wear the spring loaded brass points down again?
I can't afford to screw up this repair.
