I was coming back from dropping my girlfriend off at her house when I spot at silver Z4. Car-Stats.com says they run 14.2 at 98 mph. Having yet to go to the track I didn't know what was going to happen. Anyway it was an older fellow and after i few enticing lunges and a wave of the hand he took off with a half car lead from a 2nd gear roll but i stopped his pull and i put 2 cars on him quickly. I think the win this easily can be chalked up to poor driving. But a win is a win. 0So heading home from that I saw an older fox body. I was a little bit weary about this one because you don't know when you will run into the 11 second one or the 14 second one. Well anyway he was game right away. This too was from a 2nd gear roll and i put about 2-3 cars on him by 100. He stops at the light and says hes stock except for flowmasters. All in all two cool drivers and two fun races.

i raced my uncle's top of the line z4 and it wasnt anything. he let me drive it after and the lag on that sucker was so horrible. i mean, he thought he car was fast and he thought it was fun and crap. i asked him if he wanted to play on the roads and he said he would whoop me (some older folks think the newer cars can wail on old cars for some reason). well it is definately a mid 14 second car give or take a few tenths. it looks cool but meh....
you are right about the fox bodys tho. there are lots of stockers out there that look/sound awesome but dont run much better then mid or low 14's. ive had my ass handed to me pleeeeeeenty of times by 12 foxes too. comes with the territory. if you could read a car by looks, i wouldnt race half the time. i dont mind losing at all as long as the person is cool about it. i hate dickheads

I also don't mind losing and I will pretty much race anyone even if I know they will win. Like one case I can remember was a twin turbo viper I got beat so bad that I couldnt see him anymore lol. But it was just so great to see that thing go.

Oh OK. Yeah Im not using my brain today..... friday tradition. They look pretty good but 14's is weak for that kind of money.

whoa now ernie, he wasnt dissing you. he didnt know. its supposed to be the new kind of z3. its in the line-up. first comes z3, then comes z4.
