fox ECU vs. sn95

The fox's computer are not as sensative to modes they way ours are. they are tuned diff. from factory more performance settings and ours are more detuned for emisions ( I think ) I know there is a kit the you can buy to convert to the fox's MM&FF did it to the project car called "Stone Pony" ( 1995 GT ) after they installed the holley system max.

It's all in the calibration. The 94/95 EEC is superior in power & functionality, but the calibration is picky. You can get some improvement by swapping to an A9L, but you'd be better off spending your money recalibrating the 94/95 EEC with a chip or tuner.

No, the A9L won't control the fan, that is why ProM sells the PIH with a fan controller.

I think a better option would be to buy one of the fans with an integrated controller like the one mentioned in this thread:

It sounds like a slick setup, and I think they make one that will control an electric water pump. I think that would allow you to ditch your thermostat and regulate your water temp by pump speed. The whole effect would be much less parasitic drag than an engine driven pump at high rpm and less load on the altrenator than a regular electric pump. That's a win-win situation if I have ever seen one.

well i have kinda an odd project. as of right no i have NO computer. so i would like to get the better of the two seeing as i will have to spend the money one way or the other anyways. i will probably also need a chip/tuner (tuner sounds more fun) b/c of my unusual set up.
