fox motor?

I have a 94 GT. with AODE tranny, and i have 163000 miles on motor. oil leaking from rear of the intake and my valve cover, and my timing chain cover is leaking coolant weird pinging sound when i get on it when she is a lil hot. my friend has a fox 5.0 would it bolt right up with no problem? the tranny, motor mounts and ect? any help would help greatly!

The parts you mentioned yes. The parts you would have to move over are the EGR system if you have it. Or cap off the headers and use the fox egr. The intake adapter, or just use a fox TB cable and setup and also the brackets for P/S A/C Smog.

and if you want to keep the stock belt system you have to swap over your timing cover and water pump...

Other than that, SIMPLE!!!

I intend on getting a fox engine when I do my h/c/i simply because I feel the forged pistions are better in them...

If you are going to run with same computer/state of tune, the pinging and operating temps might not abate. The snout on the SN and lackluster spark/fuel tables is what helps make it run hot IMHO. So a different motor might see the same issues.

What are you doing with the trans and puter? Are ya keeping the AODE and your computer?
Just trying to get more info and think of possible obstacles.

Good luck.

I am not sure what you are asking. If you were going to swap to a fox motor in hopes of that helping with a pinging problem, I dont see that happening. The pinging is either from a tune-up issue (lack-there-of), lean condition from a failing part or just the factory tune at work (not uncommon).

It would suck to do a motor swap and still have pinging.

Is the car shifting funny now? I dont see why you need to change anything (and short of a chip, TwEECer, aux trans puter, etc, I dont see how you could change anything).

Good luck.

Yep, in late model year '92 is when the switch to hypers was made. It seems to be fairly close to the time that the FP relay was moved to the pass strut tower (as a quick check for an idea).

Good luck.
