I have about $4000 to spend on a Fox body or SN-95 Mustang. At first I thought I would be forced into the Fox because of my budget, but after looking around I see alot of SN-95 cars that are selling for $4k-4500.

Now my question, do I get a Fox or a SN-95?

I really want a car that the door handle works EVERY TIME! the last fox i had, the door handle worked after I fooled with it for a few minutes, and about broke a finger to get it to unlatch, the door was so badly out of allignment NOTHING helped, I broke five door handles before I sold it 3 months later!

I dont want something that is going to shake and rattle me to death everytime I drive it...

I love the look of the fox, but I am leaning toward an SN-95...it will be a daily driver, what would you do?

For a Daily Driver I'd get a slow arse SN95. Just don't throw any money into it, and make sure to paint it black cause all the 94-98 cars look like chic cars with their cute little rounded fascias :)

 My serious answer- Completley depends on the car. My 93 has 64k original on it and I've driven it from Florida to my house (375 miles). I have an 01 that has 37k on it and has window problems, strange rattle. Just depends on how hard the car was driven, by how many different people, and for how far. :nice:

It's going to be easier to find a 94-98 car in better shape so I'd go that route for a daily driver :)

Based on the opening post, it sounds like you answered your own question. :p

SN95 it will be. Enjoy!

:Word: sn95=cute, fox=badass

There's nothing wrong with a fox for a daily driver. Just pick one up with relatively low mileage. An sn95 might be more comfortable, but I went from daily driving my truck to daily driving my stang in the summer, and it's like driving a caddy, with power that is. The fox is quite a bit lighter too, it's an overall better platform.

Actually- if I'm not mistaken my 01 has the same interior as the 94-98 doesn't it? Anyway, if you get an interior like mine and you're taller than 5'5" you'll hate it. I'm 6'0 and my knees knock into the dash no matter how I sit.

wow- in my car you have to at least be 6'0 to even reach the pedals- thats with the seat as far up as it goes

when i let my ex-gf and one of my shorter friends drive i have to put a couple of coats behind their back

A little off topic but,

Strype...
It doesn't sound like you have modified your driver seat on your '01. Un-bolt the seat and look under it. You will find 4 sets of bolt holes where you can unbolt the seat from the track and move the seat back on the track about another 2 inches. For some reason Ford uses the bolt holes that are second closest to the front.

Also (even further off topic), What is a good car/cruise hangout in Huntsville? I just moved out toward New Market.

Cool man thanks! I'll PM you :nice:

Chick car my ASS! Where's GTSETGO? Damn you people and your stereotypes. :nonono:

:D

I agree!! So, by chick car, you mean exactly what? :nono:

Ummmmm...

*uncomfortable silence*

50% of the time I see one of those cars, a girl is driving it. And I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but they always looked a little rounded to me. Like something you'd paint pink and enter into a drifting contest :D
