Has anyone tried putting Fox body rotors on a II front end? They are also 11" and keep the stock 4x4.5" bolt pattern. Would just have to fab a caliper bracket. Does anyone know if it's possible?
A seller on eBay has the 5-lug Granada kit for sale, he says if I want 4-lug that I can use the Granada 4-lug rotors and it would work with the caliper adapters. Does anyone now if that's correct? What year Granada? I'm hoping someone here works at a parts counter and could check into it.
From what I remember, the last of the Granadas (81?-82) were Fox platform cars (reskinned Fairmonts). The early Granada was not sold with 4-lug rotors/axles.
I checked some time back on the fox rotors, they take a different set of bearings, as I recall. I never checked to see if there was a bearing set that fit the II spindle and fox race diameter.
Everything I have heard says that Fox (Mustang or late Granada or late T-Bird) rotors do not fit on the MII spindle. I agree that a non-stock set of bearings would be required to make them fit (if they will fit at all).
In order to get 11" rotors in the 4 on 4.25" pattern, you could either redrill the early Granada/Maverick rotors to 4 on 4.25" or order custom rotors from Baer.
In either case you have to use an aftermarket caliper mounting plate with GM or Wilwood calipers. Early Fox calipers are a possibility, but you apparently give up some braking capability due to their smaller bores and there is only one supplier for the adapter.

There's a guy on eBay selling the 5-lug kits for like $220 (new rotors, calipers, brackets, bolts, bearings & races). He emailed me saying that if I wanted 4-lug all I had to do was pick up Granada 4-lug rotors and use them instead of the 5-lug rotors. I'm just looking for verification before I buy his kit.

I'll say again, there is no early-style Granada rotor that is 4 lug.
See if he has a part # for the 4-lug rotor that will work. Or if he'll do the substitution for you. I really don't think he'll find one that works. The next problem is going to be that the early fox cars used a small rotor as well.
Sellers tend to tell you what you want to hear. My guess, from his reply to use 4 lug Granada rotors, is that he doesn't know the differences.
I know there are no early style 4-lugs. I'll say again, an eBay seller told me the newer Granada 4-lugs would work and I'm trying to verify it here. And if the early fox rotors aren't 11" then that's all I needed to know.
The spindles on the early Granada (Maverick platform) and late Granada (Fox platform) are completely different. It may be that some combination of bearings and races and seals would allow the Fox rotor to be mounted on the early Granada spindle, but I haven't heard about it.
Your best bet is to redrill the early Granada rotor get you an 11" rotor on a early Granada spindle. I'm thinking along the same lines...I don't want to go to 5-lug, and don't want to spend the $$$ that Baer wants.
Another positive for you is that the early Granada rotors have an additional 3/8" width per side, so maybe you could ditch your spacers.
The spindles may be different but if you check part #s they both use the same outer wheel bearings. And as I said earlier in this thread someone (the guy with the Lightning motor in his II) already looked into redrilling the 5-lug rotors and said it couldn't be done.
