i keep hearing that Fox body springs are good for weight transfer at the track and also give 99-04's a mean stance. if i remember correctly, its 4-cyl. front springs and V8 rears with 1/2 coil cut? is this right?

aside from that, what is the approximate lowering of the car (02 gt), how do you cut the springs, and besides a salvage yard is there any other place to pick these up? any part numbers? also, with aftermarket springs such as eibach's pro-kit or H&R Sports/SS, its suggested to upgrade shocks and struts. im assuming the same goes for the fox springs, but want to make sure. so is it? and should i be concerned about the age of the springs? the lastest fox body is now 12 years old.

thanks guys. :nice:

I cut the front 1/4 coil and rear 1.5 coils. Some rears have a dead coil, others do not. Best thing to do is cut them 1/5 coil and see how it looks, cutting 1/4 at a time remembering that you can't put it back and that it will probably settle another half inch over the next couple weeks.

Weight transfer is about the same as stock, which is descent and much more than you'd get out of a typical set of lowering springs.
