What's up guys.
Haven't been on the forums in a while, or even been in a mustang in alittle over a year. Well i've just started to get my 1990 GT back on the road after it has sat for a couple years. I wrecked it when i was 17, some front end damage but nothing to bad. But insurance totalled it, i took the money and bout a sn95 and bought the fox back from the insurance company for alittle under 100 bucks. So now that i am out of college and working again im fixing the fox. I'm going to be taking out a small personal loan so i will have alittle bit of money to do as much as i can at once. somewhere in the neighborhood of $3k-4k. I have found a parts car for 600 bucks with no engine or tranny for the body parts i need. the rest of the money will be going towards some maintence that needs done and alittle modding.

Heres the worst of the damage that was done when the car was wrecked. Bumper, Lights, Hood etc. were toast. Fenders are fine, didnt even change the gap at the door, Front frame looks good just had this damage to the core support.

I've gotten the core support straightened out, have the interior out of the car, and have started working under the hood. Car needs some weatherstrip here and there. a new stereo(there is none in the car right now), fixing the oil leaks, and cleaning up the engine bay.

crack under driver seat

I've got more pictures but havent loaded off my camera yet. alot of the engine, which has turned from changing fuel injector o rings and valve cover gaskets, to pulling the lower intake to clean and a discovering that their is what i think to be blown head gaskets. not sure if its a headgasket leak or not. looks like carbon buildup in the lifter valley from where the head meets the block. I'll have some more pics soon. and im sure some pics of my headgasket question in tech tommorow. let me know what yall think.

I wonder what makes them crack there? wasnt any other damage around it, i was just thinking maybe the P.O. jacked it up on the floor pan or something.

Got some new pics. Engine is ready to come out and get cleaned and new gaskets. Going to clean up and paint the engine bay and put on new exhaust all the way back, except for mufflers.

Here is the parts car i got for the front bumper, hood, light panel etc. No engine or Transmission, cage isnt done and is 5 lug but no diff. so the axles are just kinda hangin out inside the rear end. The car was setting in the woods about 1/4 mile behind an old run-down house with about 10 other cars. Had to use 4wd to get up the trail to get to it, quite a challenge in a suburban with a car trailer.

I thought about that but the white car dosent have a title, but i am tryin to get it because its got a good chassis. also the black 5.0 was my first car so i cant really just let it go.

Ha. If i was going to go through the risk of switching VIN's, i would switch it with an 4cyl hatch. cheaper insurance.

Man i wish that mine was 30 bucks a month. The cheapest quote i got was from progressive. It was 110 a month for for liability with comprehensive and medical coverage for up to $2k. But I'm 20 and its a GT so what can ya do. I'm just hopin their quote is accurate and thats what I'll be paying.

The car actually looks really clean, and you're making progress. Keep up the good work, and keep us updated. I pay $149 a month for car, truck, and bike combined.

There is a way you can legally switch VIN's but it's a HUGE PITA plus you would need the title for the white car anyway before you can swap your vin over to it
