I’ll pop it in the sandblaster and give it a good look overCheck the spark plug for cracks. Get your hands dirty and rub the body of the spark plug. This will show any cracking which could cause the issue.

Ah okay. I’ll take a look at the ceramic. I’ve got other plugs on hand aswell.What I am talking about is the ceramic body having a crack. Will cause a cylinder to under perform or perform erratically.
Had a spark plug sand blaster at Mechanic shop in High School, and one at the Service Station I worked at part time.... Any paint on them from painting the engine? I found out this can ground out plugs the hard way when I " tried " to first start the new 440 engine I built in the pic.....Ah okay. I’ll take a look at the ceramic. I’ve got other plugs on hand aswell.

Not kidding, unless something weird happened, I gapped all of these to the oem gap. Maybe the tool sucks or something as I used the keychain one, but I did gap them the way they should be. Also, in the photo it does actually look way closer than it really is.WTF on that gap, rather lack of?

I don’t think they’re the wrong ones. I specifically bought these because they were the right ones. Hence them being motorcraft. Maybe I found the wrong plug gap online, but I don’t think it’s got anything to do with the plugs.Those are the wrong plugs.....
There are two versions of spark plugs, one set designed for the really large gaps and another designed for the smaller gaps of .035 and such... You need the smaller gap plugs...
