Foxbody TB Swap Question

When i do the tb swap and have to mod my cold air intake do i need a 45 degree bend from the throttle down or 90* bend?Should i go with a mandrel bent pipe elbow or the Silicone Elbow?Could they both handle the heat.Since im going to cut my mac cai,what size should match 3" or 3.5"?

Go with a silicone elbow, there isn't much room up near the TB for a steel bend and couplers. The silicone will allow some movement in the intake tubing when the motor torques.

90* bend by the TB. I used the Fox C&L pipe up top and then cute a couple of inches off of my MAC CAI on the top portion and rotated the top portion of the CAI in order to have it mate to the Fox C&L tube. You could go the other way and get yourself a 90* plumbing connector and some ABS piping and make your own straight shot CAI. I've seen some pretty good looking home kits here on stangnet.
